What We Believe
|
| |
ABOUT GOD |
| |
God the
Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit are three distinct persons
but one being. God is omniscient, (all knowing) omnipotent, (all
powerful) and omnipresent (present everywhere). |

| |
ABOUT HUMANS |
| |
Man is
created in God’s image, to be like Him in character. We are the
supreme object of God´s creation. Although we have tremendous
potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward
God called "sin". This willful sin (missing the mark) has
separated us from God and are destined to eternal death and punishment. |

| |
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST |
| |
Jesus Christ
is the Son of God. He lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as
the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by a substitutionary
death on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to
demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and
will return again to Earth to claim His own. |

ABOUT SALVATION |
| |
As detailed
most fully in Acts 2:38, the steps to restore fellowship with God
include the recognition and confession to God of one’s sinful
nature. A willingness to stop willful, sinful behavior
(repentance) and a public confession of Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Then, baptism by full immersion for the forgiveness of sins and the
gift of the Holy Spirit. |

| |
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT |
| |
The Holy
Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son as God. Begin present in
the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. The Spirit
also lives in every Christian from the moment of baptism. He provides
the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth,
and guidance in doing what is right. |

| |
ABOUT ETERNITY |
| |
Man was
created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from
God by sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To
be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with
Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. |
