What our congregation is about
|
| * |
Artemus Christian Church is a non-denominational, independent Christian Church; locally governed by Elders, Deacons and a Minister. |
| * |
As a Church Body, we believe
in, trust and follow God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy
Spirit. God’s plan of salvation as detailed most fully in Acts 2:38. |
| * |
We practice immersion as commanded and demonstrated by Jesus; and partake in communion (the Lord’s Supper) each Sunday. |
| * |
This communion time is open to any immersed believer, regardless of church membership or denominational affiliation. |
| * |
We are committed to
restoring the faith and practices of the New Testament Church. In that
respect we are not a Protestant Fellowship – we are not
“protesting” or attempting to reform any church. So
Churches in our Fellowship are simply known as ‘Christian’
Churches or Church of Christ. |
| * |
We have no creeds, but
operate on the principle, “Where the Bible speaks, we speak and
where the Bible is silent, we will be silent.” We are in essence,
‘Christians Only’, but not the only Christians. |
